Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive title searches using public records, title records, and GIS mapping software to verify ownership rights and identify potential issues. Review legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and other land documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage title processing tasks including curative actions, lien searches, and resolving discrepancies in title records. Utilize real estate transaction management software to track project progress, document workflows, and maintain organized records. Perform research on property histories, historical land use, and existing encumbrances to support underwriting guidelines adherence. Collaborate with legal teams and clients to review real estate documentation and facilitate smooth land transactions or leasing activities. Assist with mapping software applications for visualizing land parcels, easements, and mineral rights boundaries to support project planning. Experience Proven experience as a Landman or Title Analyst within the energy or real estate sector, preferably with law office experience related to mineral rights or property transactions. Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, and right-of-way processes relevant to mineral titles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), GIS tools, mapping software, and real estate transaction management platforms. Familiarity with title search procedures, public records research, and title review practices aligned with underwriting guidelines. Excellent research skills combined with the ability to analyze complex legal descriptions and real estate documentation accurately. Effective client communication skills with a focus on customer service in a professional setting.
