Our construction credit and notice solutions help suppliers, contractors, and other construction businesses protect payment rights. As our notice services expand nationwide, we seek a detail-oriented Construction Notice Specialist. Position Summary Research, prepare, process, track, and document construction notices for CDI Credit customers, including preliminary notices, Notices to Owner or Contractor, Notices of Furnishing, public-project and bond-related notices, and other state-specific forms. The role requires accurate, high-volume work, careful research, and management of statutory deadlines. Requirements vary by state, project type, and the customer's place in the payment chain. Key Responsibilities Review requests for completeness; identify the correct notice type, required information, recipients, and delivery method. Verify first and last furnishing dates, contract dates, notice deadlines, project and claimant details, and other facts before processing. Research owners, contractors, subcontractors, lenders, sureties, public entities, property records, parcels, legal descriptions, Notices of Commencement, permits, and other project sources as needed. Investigate conflicting or missing information; distinguish private, public, federal, and bonded projects; escalate unusual or potential compliance issues. Prepare and send notices under CDI Credit procedures and applicable state requirements, including forms, statutory language, deadlines, and service rules. Perform quality checks and maintain complete records of preparation, sending, delivery, and proof of service. Required Qualifications Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deadlines. Strong research, organization, investigation, and written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, public records, and online research tools; ability to learn specialized software. Ability to follow detailed procedures, work independently in a high-volume setting, and recognize when additional review is needed. Preferred Experience and Knowledge Experience with construction notices, mechanics liens, bond claims, construction credit or accounts receivable, lien waivers, construction law or paralegal work, property research, document service, or multi-state notice requirements is preferred. Knowledge of payment chains, public and private projects, notice triggers and deadlines, Notices of Commencement, bonds, and proof of service is valuable. Direct notice experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong research, administrative, credit, or construction-industry experience may be considered. Measures of Success Performance is measured by processing accuracy and timeliness, quality-control results, correct recipient identification, reliable project and property research, complete documentation, turnaround time, customer service, and timely escalation of exceptions. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework, a degree, paralegal training, or construction credit education is beneficial; relevant experience and demonstrated ability matter more than a specific degree.
