Job Title:
Title Clerk Reports to: Office Manager/Controller Job Summary The Title Clerk is responsible for preparing and processing vehicle titles, registrations, and other documentation related to vehicle sales. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration. Key Responsibilities 1.Title Preparation:
Prepare and review vehicle titles, registrations, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness. 2.Registration and Titling:
Process vehicle registrations and titles with state agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines. 3.Lien Processing:
Process lien payoffs and releases, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and filed. 4.Customer Communication:
Communicate with customers regarding title and registration status, addressing any questions or concerns. 5.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration. 6.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle titles, registrations, and other documentation. 7.Collaboration:
Work with other dealership departments, such as sales and finance, to ensure smooth and efficient title and registration processing. Requirements 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent 2.Title and Registration Experience:
1-2 years of experience in title and registration processing preferred, preferably in an automotive dealership environment 3.Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations:
Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration preferred 4.Organizational and Time Management Skills:
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines 5. Attention toDetail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and processing title and registration documentation 6.Communication and Customer Service Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work with customers, dealers, and state agencies Physical Demands 1.Office Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift 10 lbs. 2.Computer Work:
Frequent use of computer and keyboard. Organizational skills required. Salary and Benefits 1.Hourly:
