About The Arc of Butte County The Arc of Butte County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Since 1962, we have been committed to promoting inclusion, empowerment, and independence for the people we serve. Through programs such as adult day services, family support, respite care, job development, and independent living skills training, we help individuals with IDD live fulfilling, meaningful lives. www.arcbutte.org/services/adult-day-program About the Position As an Adult Day Program Instructor, you will support and enrich the lives of individuals with IDD by leading activities, teaching life skills, and creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique needs, providing respectful and empowering support every day. This role is hands-on, engaging, and vital to helping our clients thrive. What You'll Do Lead engaging and diverse activities, including cooking, exercise, art, music, games, academics, and community outings. Teach essential life skills such as self-care, money management, problem-solving, and social interaction. Create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment that aligns with program requirements and client preferences. Maintain timely and accurate records of daily activities and client progress. Actively participate in training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Drive Arc of Butte County vehicles as needed.What You'll Bring Cultural Competence:

High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or experience preferred.Driving Requirements:
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and minimum of 2 years driving experience. Physical Requirements Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non- arduous physical, drug/TB screen Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing administrative tasks Ability to lift and move office files or supplies up to 15 pounds Ability to reach, bend and kneel to access filing cabinets or storage areas Ability to work in a standard office environment, with occasional movement between internal office spaces Reliable transportation to and from the office Why Join Us?
