Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic emergency response team as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), where your expertise will be vital in delivering high-quality pre-hospital care to patients in urgent and critical situations. In this role, you will provide advanced life support, perform detailed patient assessments, and coordinate critical care transport with precision and compassion. Your skills will directly impact patient outcomes, ensuring they receive timely, effective treatment in the most challenging environments. Responsibilities Deliver advanced emergency medical services, including airway management, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring during patient transport. Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing physiology and anatomy knowledge to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Manage critical care interventions for patients with complex needs, including those requiring ventilatory support or intravenous therapy (DME). Perform physical examinations and triage procedures to prioritize care based on urgency and trauma level, especially within Level I Trauma Centers and Level II trauma centers. Administer injections and medications following aseptic techniques while adhering to medical terminology standards and protocols. Operate emergency vehicles safely under urgent conditions, demonstrating strong driving skills and heavy lifting capabilities when necessary. Collaborate with hospital staff during handoffs, providing detailed reports on patient condition and treatment administered to ensure continuity of care. Requirements Valid EMT certification with experience in emergency medicine settings; additional critical care or hospital experience highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in airway management, venipuncture, injection administration, and vital signs assessment. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency procedures such as trauma triage and critical care transport. Experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity environments is a significant advantage. Ability to perform physical examinations and utilize aseptic techniques effectively in fast-paced scenarios. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; capable of heavy lifting and handling physically demanding tasks regularly. Excellent patient care skills combined with a proactive approach to urgent care situations; previous ER or urgent care experience is beneficial.
