Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic emergency medical team as a Paramedic, where your expertise will be vital in delivering rapid, high-quality care to patients in urgent and critical situations. In this energetic role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital medical services, ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with healthcare professionals across various settings. Your dedication and skill will make a tangible difference in saving lives and improving patient outcomes every day. Duties Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention on scene and during transport. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Manage airway patency through airway management techniques and administer oxygen or ventilation support as needed. Execute critical care interventions such as medication administration, venipuncture, injection administration, and aseptic techniques in accordance with protocols. Operate advanced medical equipment (DME) for patient monitoring and treatment, ensuring proper functioning throughout transport. Collaborate with hospital staff at Level I Trauma Centers and Level II trauma centers for seamless patient handoffs; triage patients effectively based on injury severity. Drive emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist patients or move equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, vital signs, procedures performed, and transport details for legal and clinical purposes. Uphold high standards of patient care by applying emergency medicine principles, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology accurately in fast-paced environments. Qualifications Valid EMT certification with relevant experience; additional paramedic licensure preferred. Critical care experience combined with hospital or emergency room experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and physical examinations. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for effective patient assessment and treatment. Experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers; familiarity with triage protocols is a plus. Knowledge of emergency medicine practices including vital signs monitoring and urgent care procedures. Ability to operate DME efficiently during critical care transport scenarios; excellent driving skills with a clean driving record required. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking; capable of responding promptly in high-pressure situations.
