Advanced Technician:
Finish Carpentry, Masonry, Landscaping, Snow Removal and Heavy Equipment Pay:
$25.00 to $50.00 per hour (Top scale requires 3+ years documented leadership)

What You Will Be Doing We are looking for a versatile Advanced Technician who possesses a high level of skill and accountability. This is not a helper role. We need someone who can lead a project, engage directly with our customers about specific challenges, and suggest best practices to deliver professional results every time. To be considered for the high end of our pay scale, you must exhibit at least 3 years of documented leadership experience in one or more of our core categories. We are looking for specialists who can manage a site, lead a crew, and solve complex problems without hand-holding. If you have the skills to justify a premium wage, we are ready to pay it, but you must prove it through your application, work history and our practical field assessment. •A Note to

We do not expect you to be a master of every trade on day one, but you must be an expert in at least two and highly proficient in the others. We pay for your ability to walk onto a job site and get it done without hand-holding.
Core Trade CompetenciesCarpentry:
Precision and Structure Structural Integrity:
Framing, identifying load-bearing points, and ensuring everything is plumb, level, and square.
Finish Work:
Executing clean miter joints on crown molding and baseboards; professional window and door installations.
Problem Solving:
Identifying rotting joists or sagging porches and shoring them up safely and permanently.
Craftsman Eye:
High-end deck repairs and fixture installations that stand up to close inspection.
Lawn Care and Landscaping:
Beyond the
Mower Equipment Mastery:
Expert operation of commercial-grade zero-turns, stand-ons, trimmers, and blowers.
Plant & Property Knowledge :
Identifying common weeds/pests and understanding proper pruning heights for various shrubs.
Pro Edging:
Knowledge of how to edge a bed to give it a sharp, professional look.
Route Efficiency:
Plotting the most effective path through multi-acre properties to save time and fuel.
Snow Removal:
The Storm-Ready Mindset Equipment Operation:
Plowing and salt spreading in low-visibility, high-stress conditions.
Property Protection:
Clearing sites without destroying turf, curbs, or Belgian blocks.
Stamina:
Ready for 2:00 AM starts and long shifts when the community is counting on us.
Situational Awareness:
Navigating tight residential driveways safely during major storm events.
Heavy Equipment:
Power with
Precision Machinery Proficiency:
Skilled operation of skid steers, mini-excavators, and front-end loaders.
Attachment Handling:
Swapping buckets, forks, and augers quickly and safely.
Fine Grading:
Using a blade or bucket to grade for drainage, ensuring water moves away from foundations.
Safety & Maintenance:
Daily "walk-arounds," checking fluids/grease points, and awareness of underground/overhead lines.
Masonry:
Crafting the
Foundation Masonry Standards:
Respecting set times, slump, and proper mixing for structures meant to last generations.
Repointing & Repair:
Grinding out failing mortar and tuckpointing with precise color and texture matches.
Hardscaping:
Laying pavers, flagstone, or fieldstone with properly compacted sub-bases and drainage.
Concrete & Brickwork:
Pouring pads and repairing walkways so they do not scale or crack after a Vermont winter.
Drywall and Painting:
The Art of the
Invisible Repair Seamless Patching:
Feathering out drywall patches so they are undetectable under any lighting.
Material Knowledge:
Expert use of hot mud versus all-purpose compounds.
Texture Matching:
Matching existing wall textures (orange peel, knockdown, etc.) for flawless repairs.
Professional Finishing:
Superior prep (sanding/caulking) and the ability to "cut in" a room faster and cleaner than most can with tape. SHCM Standards ( Non-Negotiable )
