Part-Time ALS Provider (AEMT or Paramedic) - 24-Hour Shift (Thursdays) Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad Tupper Lake, NY The Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad is seeking a Part-Time Advanced Life Support (ALS) Provider to join our team. This position is ideal for an Advanced EMT (AEMT) or Paramedic looking for consistent weekly hours in a rural EMS setting.

Position Details Schedule:

24-hour shift every Thursday (6am to 6am Friday)

911 emergency response Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary ALS provider on emergency medical calls Perform patient assessments and deliver advanced prehospital care Administer medications, establish IV/IO access, and manage airways within scope of practice Work collaboratively with BLS providers and other emergency responders Complete patient care reports and ensure ambulance readiness between calls Qualifications Current New York State certification as AEMT or Paramedic Valid CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred for Paramedics) Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills Ability to work independently in a rural EMS environment What to Expect Variable call volume ranging from quiet periods to high activity On-duty time includes station coverage, with the ability to rest when not on calls Supportive, team-oriented environment serving the local community
