Job Description

You must meet U.S. Person (citizen) status requirements as per ITAR guidelines (U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency)? The Opportunity StaffRight Associates is seeking a high-caliber leader to spearhead the financial strategy and proposal development for a premier manufacturer in the aerospace and space sectors. As the Cost Estimating and Pricing Manager , you will play a pivotal role in securing future business and managing contract modifications for some of the world s most sophisticated commercial and military aircraft programs. This is a high-visibility leadership position where your technical acumen and strategic insight will directly influence the fiscal health and competitive edge of a legendary manufacturing powerhouse. What You ll Do Architect comprehensive labor and material cost proposals for complex aerospace structures and composite components. Champion the development of TINA-compliant submissions, ensuring total alignment with federal regulations and commercial standards. Direct a multidisciplinary team to synthesize inputs from Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain into cohesive, winning pricing strategies. Drive the negotiation process, providing expert defense of cost assumptions and basis of estimates during customer fact-finding sessions. Synthesize historical performance data and actual costs to generate defendable, high-accuracy financial models for follow-on contracts. Optimize internal proposal workflows by refining templates and content libraries to enhance efficiency and response times. Translate complex budgetary requirements into actionable insights for the program execution and manufacturing leadership teams. Engineer detailed proposal schedules to ensure all deliverables meet rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
What You Bring Regulatory Expertise:
Master-level understanding of the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) and the ability to certify pricing volumes with absolute precision.
Industry Foundation:
At least 10 years of progressive experience in aerospace manufacturing, specifically focused on cost estimation, pricing, or industrial engineering.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with composite fabrication, assembly processes, and the logistical nuances of major aerospace structures.
Analytical Power:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for scenario modeling and capacity analysis; experience with tools like ProPricer, SEER 3D, or CostPoint is highly advantageous.
Leadership Presence:
A proven track record of managing high-performing teams across multiple locations while remaining a hands-on contributor.
Strategic Vision:
Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret production flow, capital equipment usage, and labor models to build robust estimates.
Compliance:
Must meet U.S. Person status requirements as per ITAR guidelines (U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
Education:
A Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related technical field is preferred.
