Job Description
Job Summary We are a growing, patient-focused urgent care clinic committed to delivering high-quality, efficient medical care. As we expand, we are seeking a Lead Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) who is clinically excellent, operationally minded, and interested in a long-term leadership and partnership opportunity. This role is ideal for a provider who wants to move beyond shift work and play a meaningful role in clinical leadership, team development, and business growth , and who possesses extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care settings. The Lead Provider will work clinically while also serving as the clinical and operational leader of the provider team , partnering closely with the Center Administrator and ownership. This position includes a clearly defined pathway to equity/partnership based on performance, leadership, and tenure. The provider will deliver comprehensive urgent care services, manage diverse patient cases, and have the opportunity to develop ownership interests within the practice. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while utilizing advanced medical systems and protocols. Clinical Responsibilities Provide high-quality, evidence-based urgent care services to patients of all ages Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries Perform procedures including laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage (I&D), wound care, and other urgent care services Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Demonstrate excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration This position offers an exciting opportunity for licensed healthcare providers committed to delivering high-quality urgent care services while exploring ownership prospects within a growing, patient-centered practice. Leadership & Management Responsibilities Serve as clinical lead for all providers (MD/DO/PA/NP) Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring providers Establish and uphold clinical standards, workflows, and best practices Collaborate closely with the Center Administrator to manage clinic operations Support provider scheduling, coverage planning, and productivity optimization Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on patient care and efficiency Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluations Partnership & Growth Opportunity Defined pathway to partnership/equity based on leadership performance and clinic success Participate in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational decision-making Opportunity to assist with scaling additional locations in the future Develop leadership experience in healthcare operations and business management Qualifications MD/DO or PA-C/NP (Family Practice or Emergency Medicine preferred) Active, unrestricted license in Nevada Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience required Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Interest in healthcare operations, management, and ownership Ability to balance clinical excellence with administrative and leadership responsibilities What We Offer Competitive compensation (clinical and leadership components) Clear and achievable partnership track Supportive ownership and administrative team Opportunity to shape clinic culture and operations Long-term career growth beyond traditional provider roles Company Overview American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis.
