Direct Support Professional

Position Summary The Direct Support Team Leader supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in vocational training, life enrichment, and community-based activities. This role provides guidance to staff and participants while promoting a safe, positive, and structured environment. This position is part-time, Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide daily guidance and general supervision to team members Support individuals in vocational, enrichment, and community-based activities Assist with implementation of habilitation and skill-building plans Teach and model appropriate workplace and community behaviors Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment Assist with documentation and required program records Support individuals with personal care needs, including restroom assistance when necessary Manage behavioral challenges in accordance with company policies Participate in required meetings and trainings Follow all organizational policies and safety procedures Helping to Transport (with company vehicles) people with disabilities out in the community. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Valid authorization to work in the United States Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality Interest in supporting individuals with disabilities (experience preferred) Preferred Qualifications Valid driver's license with clean driving record Access to insured vehicle for approved work-related travel (mileage reimbursement provided) Employment Details Part-Time, Non-Exempt Monday-Friday Day Schedule Background check required (employer paid) CPR/First Aid certification required (may obtain within 30 days; employer paid) Benefits Paid Time Off Paid Birthday Off Paid Holidays Teladoc access

$17.00 per hour
