Job Duties:
Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and operate tractors to till the soil. Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize, harvest and haul small grain and oilseed crops. Stack and bale hay. Transport agricultural inputs such as chemicals, seed and fertilizer. Transport agricultural equipment from field to field. Load and unload crops. Operate grain cart. Transport crops to storage facilities. Fix and repair fencing. Perform routine maintenance to farming equipment and make infield repairs when necessary. General farm upkeep duties such as facility maintenance and shop work including basic welding. •A general work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Therefore, hours above 40 per week may be offered but are not guaranteed. ### Minimum Education Required None. No High School Diploma or GED required. ### Minimum Experience Required Must have 6 months experience. Must be able to obtain a driver's license in 30-days. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES
Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
