Job Description
Are you a certified arborist who is passionate about vegetation management and fuels reduction while keeping Redding's utility grid reliable, safe, and efficient? Join the team at Redding Electric Utility as our next Utility Arborist. We are looking for someone to: – Trim, shape, and remove tree limbs, branches, and vegetation in close proximity to high- and low-voltage power lines, poles, and transformers, using power chain saws, rope rigging, and other hand tools and equipment. – Work from elevated platforms and operate aerial devices. – Occasionally climb trees to remove vegetation and prune them. Qualifications we're looking for: – Two years of line clearance tree trimming experience. – "Certified Arborist" certification by the International Society of Arboriculture.
