Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other tree care equipment to perform pruning, trimming, and removal of trees. Use arborist rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or maintenance projects. Conduct plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and improve tree structure. Apply tree trimming techniques that adhere to safety protocols and industry standards for tree health. Perform tree removal operations with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes and structures. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions. Maintain safety standards by following all safety protocols during outdoor work activities, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of horticulture, dendrology (the study of trees), and landscape maintenance. Hands-on experience with bucket trucks, chainsaws, rigging, and other tree care tools. Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe tree removal and pruning. Familiarity with GIS applications for landscape planning or asset management is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy loads, and working at heights safely. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of outdoor work. Growing experience in horticulture or landscaping is desirable; certification in arboriculture or related fields is advantageous.
