In this role, you will apply your expertise in tree care, pruning, and removal to enhance the safety, beauty, and sustainability of trees in various outdoor environments. Your skills in rigging, operating bucket trucks, and using chainsaws will ensure efficient and safe tree maintenance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your horticultural knowledge, and contribute to community well-being through expert arboriculture practices. Duties Perform tree pruning, trimming, and planting care to promote healthy growth and aesthetics. Conduct tree removal operations using rigging techniques and chainsaws while adhering to strict safety protocols. Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely for elevated work at various heights. Apply arborist rigging techniques for complex limb removal or tree dismantling projects. Engage in landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and general horticulture to support overall site health. Follow safety procedures rigorously during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Proven experience in outdoor work environments with a focus on tree care or landscaping. Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal processes, and plant pruning care. Proficiency with equipment such as chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging gear. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and equipment operation. Growing experience in horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), or landscape maintenance is highly desirable. Excellent physical condition with the ability to perform strenuous tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
