Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Tree Climber and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful landscapes. In this energetic position, you will utilize your advanced climbing skills and arborist expertise to perform tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, removal, and rigging. Your proficiency with specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws will ensure efficient and safe work practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in diverse environments while contributing to the health and safety of urban and rural trees alike. Responsibilities Safely climb trees using proper arborist rigging techniques to access difficult or elevated areas for pruning, trimming, or removal. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to reach high branches efficiently and securely. Perform tree removal tasks with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes and structures. Execute plant pruning care and tree trimming to promote healthy growth, aesthetics, and safety. Apply rigging methods for complex tree dismantling projects, utilizing appropriate knots, hardware, and safety protocols. Conduct site assessments using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to plan work zones effectively. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including safety inspections, rigging setups, and tree health assessments. Qualifications Proven experience as a professional tree climber with a strong understanding of arborist rigging techniques and tree care practices. Skilled in the use of chainsaws, bucket trucks, and other climbing or aerial equipment. Knowledge of horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), and landscape maintenance principles. Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments, including fall protection standards. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety. Experience with GIS mapping tools is a plus for site planning purposes.
