Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Trimmer and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful landscapes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for trimming, pruning, and caring for trees to promote growth and safety. Your expertise will help enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces while ensuring the safety of communities and environments. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tree care, landscaping, and horticulture within a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other equipment to reach high branches and difficult areas for trimming and pruning. Use rigging techniques to safely remove or prune trees, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding structures and landscapes. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, shaping, and removing dead or hazardous branches to promote healthy growth. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics. Apply knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and assessing tree locations and health conditions. Maintain equipment including bucket trucks and rigging gear, ensuring all tools are in excellent working condition. Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during tree trimming or landscape work while adhering to industry standards for tree care and horticulture practices. Experience Prior experience in tree trimming, pruning, or landscape maintenance is highly preferred. Growing experience in horticulture or related fields demonstrates a strong foundation in plant health and landscape management. Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning operations is advantageous. Familiarity with using bucket trucks, bucket operation, and other aerial lift equipment is desirable. Basic understanding of GIS technology for mapping or assessing landscapes enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or general landscaping supports comprehensive outdoor project work. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills in tree care and horticulture will help you thrive in this energetic environment.
