In this vital role, you will be responsible for the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of trees and landscaped areas across various properties. Your expertise will help ensure safe, healthy, and beautiful outdoor environments by performing tree care, pruning, planting, and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal using appropriate hand tools and power equipment to maintain safety and aesthetic standards. Identify different plant species and assess their health to determine necessary care or treatment. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems efficiently and safely. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and pest management to support healthy growth. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Manage pesticide applications responsibly by adhering to proper handling procedures and environmental regulations. Assist with snow plowing or other seasonal outdoor tasks as needed to keep properties accessible and well-maintained. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and landscaping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems for troubleshooting and repairs. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pest management techniques. Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely while maintaining high standards of safety protocol adherence. Familiarity with hand tools such as pruners, saws, shovels, and other gardening implements. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent physical stamina for outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
