Job Description
Job Summary Tree Service Climber plays a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe trees. You will ascend trees using specialized climbing techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removals. Your expertise will help ensure safety protocols are followed while delivering top-tier tree care services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize advanced rigging skills, and contribute to environmentally responsible landscape management. Duties Climb and navigate trees safely using arborist rigging techniques and climbing gear to access work areas efficiently. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal with precision, ensuring the health of trees and safety of surrounding environments. Rig and dismantle large branches or entire trees using ropes, pulleys, and other rigging tools while adhering to safety standards. Conduct assessments of tree health, applying horticultural knowledge such as dendrology (the study of trees) to determine appropriate care or removal actions. Use chainsaws and other power tools responsibly for cutting, trimming, or removing trees and branches. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry standards. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on tree care, landscaping, or horticulture. Strong knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and safety practices. Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping or planning purposes is a plus. Experience with plant pruning care, tree trimming, and general landscape maintenance is desirable. Skilled in the use of chainsaws and other arborist tools with a focus on safety and efficiency. Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology preferred; a passion for plant care is essential. Good physical condition with the ability to climb trees regularly and perform physically demanding tasks. Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping practices is advantageous. We are committed to a high Standard when it comes to performing at jobs.
