Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic role, you will utilize your climbing skills and arborist expertise to perform tree care, removal, pruning, and maintenance tasks. Your work will help enhance the safety and aesthetics of outdoor environments while promoting healthy growth and sustainable landscape practices. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in tree rigging, bucket operation, and horticulture while working outdoors in diverse conditions. Duties Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and harnesses to perform pruning, trimming, or removal activities. Operate bucket trucks and other equipment to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently and securely. Use chainsaws and other hand tools to cut branches, remove dead or hazardous trees, and shape trees for aesthetic or safety purposes. Apply arborist rigging techniques to safely lower heavy limbs or sections of trees during removal or pruning projects. Conduct plant pruning care, tree trimming, and general tree care to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general horticultural duties when needed. Follow strict safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and the safety of team members during outdoor work activities. Experience Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on tree care, landscaping, or horticulture. Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and climbing safety practices. Experience operating bucket trucks or similar equipment such as aerial lifts or cherry pickers (bucket operation). Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping or planning purposes is a plus. Hands-on experience with chainsaws, plant pruning care, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance is highly desirable. Growing experience in arboriculture or related fields such as dendrology (study of trees) enhances your suitability for this role.
