Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for performing tree care, removal, pruning, and landscaping tasks using specialized equipment and techniques. Your work will directly contribute to community safety, environmental health, and aesthetic appeal. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your outdoor work skills while supporting sustainable green spaces. Duties Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access trees safely for pruning, trimming, or removal Use chainsaws and hand tools to cut, prune, or remove trees with precision and care Apply arborist rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or maintenance Perform tree care activities such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and disease management to promote healthy growth Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, and general site cleanup to enhance outdoor environments Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to ensure personal safety and that of team members Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture Knowledge of tree identification (dendrology), plant pruning care, and tree trimming techniques Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently in various weather conditions Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques for safe tree removal and limb lowering Skilled in using chainsaws, hand tools, and other landscaping equipment with safety protocol adherence Growing experience in horticulture or landscape maintenance is highly desirable Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks consistently This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in tree care while contributing positively to community landscapes.
