Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and rural landscapes. As a skilled arborist, you will ascend trees using specialized climbing techniques and equipment to perform pruning, trimming, removal, and other tree care services. Your expertise will ensure the safety of both the environment and the community while supporting sustainable landscape management. Duties Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and arborist rigging techniques to access various heights and branches Perform tree pruning, trimming, and plant care to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Conduct tree removal operations with precision using chainsaws and rigging gear while adhering to strict safety protocols Operate bucket trucks and other equipment such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree work Implement tree care best practices including planting, staking, cabling, and disease management Use rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or maintenance projects Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions and treatment plans Experience Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture Knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees) and general tree care principles Hands-on experience with bucket truck operation and arborist rigging techniques Familiarity with safety protocols related to climbing, chainsaw use, and equipment handling Growing experience in landscape maintenance or land management preferred Ability to interpret GIS data for mapping tree locations and planning work sites Strong understanding of plant pruning care, tree trimming standards, and lawn care practices Join us in cultivating lush green environments while advancing your skills in arboriculture!
