Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tree Estimator to join our team and help us deliver exceptional tree care and landscaping services. In this role, you will assess the scope of tree-related projects, provide accurate estimates, and collaborate with crews to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise in tree care, horticulture, and landscape maintenance will be vital in delivering high-quality results that enhance our clients' outdoor spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with customer service, all while contributing to sustainable and beautiful landscapes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate tree conditions, landscape features, and project requirements using tools like GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and planning. Prepare detailed cost estimates for tree trimming, pruning, planting, removal, and landscape maintenance projects based on project scope and client needs. Collaborate with arborists, landscapers, and crew members to develop project timelines and ensure safety protocols are followed during operations such as bucket truck use and rigging. Utilize chainsaws, bucket operation equipment, and other horticultural tools to assist in on-site evaluations when necessary. Provide guidance on plant pruning care, tree care best practices, and landscape maintenance strategies to clients for long-term health and aesthetics of their outdoor spaces. Maintain accurate records of project estimates, site visits, and client communications for transparency and future reference. Stay updated on industry standards related to dendrology (the study of trees), growing experience, and horticulture techniques to enhance estimation accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant pruning care, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance. Familiarity with GIS mapping tools and land surveying techniques is preferred. Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; certification is a plus. Hands-on experience with rigging techniques for tree removal or pruning projects. Knowledge of dendrology principles to accurately assess tree health and growth potential. Strong skills in using chainsaws and other landscaping equipment; safety training required. Growing experience or background in horticulture or landscape architecture is highly desirable. $78,855.53 - $94,965.80 per year
