Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscaping and Tree Work Specialist, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through expert landscaping, tree care, and grounds maintenance. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a variety of environments, utilizing your skills to create beautiful, safe, and sustainable landscapes. You will be responsible for executing a range of tasks that promote healthy plant growth, ensure safety protocols are followed, and deliver exceptional outdoor aesthetics. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, planting, and removal using appropriate tools and techniques Operate grounds maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Apply pesticides and herbicides following strict safety protocols to protect plants from pests and diseases Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with proper tools and techniques Follow all safety procedures diligently during outdoor work to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment Experience Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or related fields with knowledge of horticulture principles Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and landscape equipment operation Familiarity with plant identification, pesticide management, tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely when required for larger projects Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment handling Previous experience with snow plowing or winter landscape maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory This position offers an engaging environment where your skills directly contribute to creating beautiful landscapes while ensuring safety and sustainability.
