Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tree Removal Specialist to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing trees and performing related arborist rigging techniques to ensure the health and safety of our landscapes. Your expertise will help maintain the beauty and safety of outdoor spaces while adhering to strict safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize specialized equipment, and contribute to sustainable tree care practices. Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other tree removal equipment to perform precise tree cutting and removal tasks Use arborist rigging techniques to dismantle large or hazardous trees with minimal impact on surrounding areas Conduct plant pruning, trimming, and general tree care to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics Apply GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree removal projects efficiently Follow all safety protocols rigorously during all phases of tree work, including rigging, climbing, and equipment operation Perform land clearing, lawn care, landscaping, and growing-related tasks as needed to support project goals Maintain detailed records of work performed, including site conditions, equipment used, and safety checks Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on tree removal, landscaping, or horticulture Proficiency in operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other specialized equipment used in arboriculture Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques and tree care best practices Familiarity with GIS technology for project planning and site mapping Strong understanding of safety protocols related to tree work and equipment operation Experience with plant pruning care, tree trimming, dendrology (study of trees), and general horticulture principles Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Growing experience in landscaping or lawn care is a plus Join us if you're passionate about outdoor work, dedicated to safe practices, and eager to develop your skills in tree removal and landscape maintenance.
