Overview Join our dynamic Tree Crew as a Bucket Operator, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our urban and rural landscapes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, operate specialized equipment, and contribute directly to safe and beautiful environments. As a key member of our team, you'll utilize your growing experience in horticulture and tree care to perform essential tasks that keep trees healthy, landscapes thriving, and communities vibrant. Your expertise in bucket operation and rigging will help us execute precise tree trimming, pruning, and landscape maintenance projects efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate bucket trucks safely to access high branches for pruning, trimming, or removal of trees and limbs. Use rigging techniques to secure and lift heavy limbs or equipment during tree care operations. Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth. Support landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, mulching, and general site cleanup. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning work sites accurately. Conduct routine inspections of equipment like bucket trucks and rigging gear to ensure safety standards are met. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents during aerial operations or landscape work. Skills Proven experience with bucket operation and working from bucket trucks or aerial lifts. Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting and securing heavy loads safely. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or site planning purposes. Strong understanding of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and planting. Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or general horticulture is highly desirable. Growing experience in arboriculture or horticulture fields enhances your ability to assess plant health. Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while working at heights or with heavy equipment.
