Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Climbing Arborist, where your expertise in tree care and climbing techniques will help maintain healthy, beautiful landscapes. In this role, you will perform skilled tree pruning, trimming, and removal operations using advanced arborist rigging techniques and equipment. Your outdoor work experience and horticultural knowledge will ensure the safety and aesthetic appeal of trees in various environments. Responsibilities Safely climb trees using specialized climbing gear and arborist rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches efficiently and securely. Execute tree removal projects with precision, including the use of chainsaws and rigging systems to dismantle large or hazardous trees. Conduct plant pruning care and tree trimming to promote healthy growth and enhance landscape aesthetics. Apply safety protocol adherence at all times, ensuring compliance with industry standards during all climbing and operational activities. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree maintenance routes when necessary. Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, horticulture practices, and general landscaping to support overall site health. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on arboriculture or landscape maintenance. Strong knowledge of tree care, dendrology (the study of trees), and horticulture principles. Skilled in arborist rigging techniques, bucket operation, and the safe use of chainsaws. Ability to operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment confidently. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or planning purposes is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and equipment operation is essential. Growing experience in tree care or landscaping is highly desirable. Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to climb, lift heavy tools or branches, and work at heights comfortably.
