Role Description:
This position will utilize your technical knowledge and experience to help guide the City's tree preservation and street tree programs. As you grow with Arcadis, you will become involved with other NYC Parks' programs, and with other City agencies, all with a focus on the City's urban forest and other natural systems such as the Staten Island Bluebelt and park restoration projects. We are seeking a proactive Team Supervisor to oversee team operations, support staff development, and support business growth. This role is critical for ensuring our team meets operational, performance, and business development goals while maintaining a strong focus on mentorship, health & safety, and administrative compliance.Role accountabilities:
Leadership:
In this supervisory role you will participate in weekly supervisor meetings and routinely correspond with direct reports providing them mentorship and leadership. This will require providing supervisor updates to senior leadership in reference to pursuits, field visits and team activities. You will be expected to act as an ambassador for the City's urban forest resource during interaction with the City's residents and landownersHealth and Safety:
Monitor health and safety concerns and point systems. This includes administering all health and safety procedures as required by the owner and as detailed in the manualTeam Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of team rankings, resumes, training, and health & safety documentation.Construction Management:
You will use your experience to monitor construction on a daily basis for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other City Agencies; this includes monitoring contractor's adherence to technical requirements and overall responsiveness and effectiveness.- Maintain daily records and review the daily reports of other inspection personnel, providing feedback and advice for improvement.
- Hold and attend field meeting with both contractor and owner to discuss progress, schedule and work remaining
Administrative:
Manage timecards and hours of team members. The individual in this role will need to have strong organizational skills needed for outlook, teams, and site leadership. You will also need to use the City's Forms program as required for the assignment—entering data using tablets and populating contract line items. Value toOrganization:

The supervisor will be instrumental in maintaining high team morale, developing staff capabilities, and delivering on both project and business development goals.Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience and 2 years leadership experience
- ISA Certification Preferred Qualifications
- Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Proficient at leadership in environmental field along with understanding OSHA and ANZI standards
- Proven experience in team supervision, staff development, or related leadership roles.
