Pay & Benefits Base pay: $26-$30/hr based on experience Class A CDL premium: +$3/hr → $29-$33/hr total Overtime opportunities + end-of-year and project bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) 10 paid vacation/PTO days + holiday pay Paid two-week winter shutdown every December — no burnout, no unpaid downtime $500 annual workwear & boot allowance Paid training: OSHA 10, workplace safety, equipment training, and state/national conferences Annual merit + cost-of-living pay increases Projects You'll Work On New construction and renovation of natural grass and synthetic turf fields: Baseball & softball Football & soccer A variety of other sports facilities and outdoor athletic spaces What You'll Do Support sports field construction and renovation (new builds + upgrades) Assist with heavy civil / earthwork tasks including grading, base prep, and restoration Help install or support installation of drainage and irrigation systems Support turf establishment (seed/sod, grow-in support) and synthetic turf project support as assigned Perform jobsite organization, cleanup, and punch list items Work alongside superintendents and crews to deliver projects right the first time Equipment Experience (Preferred) Skid steer / compact track loader (CTL) Mini excavator Dump truck Dozer Tractor with attachments Grading/laser box blade (laser-guided grading attachment) Plate compactor / roller What We're Looking For 2+ years in heavy civil, earthwork, construction, sports fields, landscaping, utilities, concrete/asphalt, or similar outdoor work Reliable, self-motivated, and takes ownership of quality Team-first attitude, coachable, and willing to learn Comfortable working outdoors in Ohio's full range of seasons Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Class A CDL preferred (+$3/hr premium) We'd rather hire the right person and teach Field Source standards than find someone who's already cut corners on other job sites. You don't need to know everything on day one. Training & Growth You'll learn Field Source standards for sports field construction and renovation Coached on quality checks, jobsite professionalism, and finishing details Clear growth path: Lead Tech → Crew Lead → Foreman based on performance Schedule & Travel Primarily Monday-Friday; Saturdays as needed May-October based on weather and site constraints Most projects are within 3 hours of Columbus — very limited overnight travel Per diem for travel over 3 hours from
