Duties Safely operate bucket trucks, rigging gear, and climbing equipment to access trees at various heights for pruning or removal projects Execute tree care tasks including pruning, trimming, planting, and removal with precision and adherence to arborist rigging techniques Use chainsaws and hand tools to cut branches or sections of trees while following strict safety protocols Implement rigging procedures for complex tree removals or limb disassembly using appropriate knots, slings, and pulleys Conduct site assessments utilizing GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree work Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site health Maintain equipment including bucket trucks and rigging gear; perform routine safety checks and proper storage after use Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, arboriculture, or landscaping environments Strong knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, tree removal, and plant health assessment Experience operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other arborist equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques for safe tree dismantling and limb removal Ability to read maps or plans using GIS technology for project planning and site navigation Knowledge of safety protocols related to climbing at heights and operating heavy machinery Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) is preferred but not required Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb trees confidently and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions Join us to help shape vibrant landscapes while advancing your skills in tree care!
