Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Tree Climber/Arborist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing expert tree care, trimming, and maintenance tasks using advanced climbing techniques and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of trees in various landscapes. Duties Safely climb and prune trees using ropes, harnesses, and other climbing gear to reach high branches and difficult areas Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access elevated work sites efficiently and securely Perform rigging procedures for the safe removal or trimming of large or hazardous limbs and trees Conduct tree assessments to identify health issues, structural weaknesses, or potential hazards Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping projects Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health status Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy growth and sustainable tree management practices Maintain equipment including chainsaws, pruning tools, rigging gear, and bucket trucks in excellent condition Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during climbing or equipment operation Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring precise coordination and technical expertise Experience Proven experience as a tree climber or arborist with a strong background in tree care and landscape maintenance Demonstrated proficiency in rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning operations Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other aerial work platforms Growing knowledge of horticulture practices related to tree health, growth patterns, and landscape integration Familiarity with GIS mapping tools used in arboriculture or landscape management projects is preferred Knowledge of safety standards related to climbing gear, rigging equipment, and aerial lifts Previous experience working with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or land management is advantageous Must have manual climbing experience and experience roping and rigging Must have knowledge of correct knots while rigging Join us to elevate your career in arboriculture!
