Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic position, you will be actively involved in tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, removal, and rigging. Your expertise will help enhance the safety and aesthetics of outdoor environments while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in arboriculture, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work. Responsibilities Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment to access high branches safely for pruning, trimming, or removal Perform tree removal tasks using chainsaws and rigging techniques to safely dismantle large or hazardous trees Apply arborist rigging techniques to lower limbs and debris efficiently without damaging surrounding property or landscapes Conduct plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and improve tree structure Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree maintenance projects Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general horticulture duties Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to ensure personal safety and that of team members Skills Proven experience with outdoor work environments, including landscaping or horticulture Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including tree trimming, pruning, and removal techniques Skilled in operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other arborist equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with GIS technology for spatial planning and project management Ability to perform rigging using arborist techniques for safe tree dismantling Knowledge of land management practices such as lawn care and landscape maintenance Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is highly desirable Excellent understanding of safety procedures related to climbing, rigging, and equipment use Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to safer communities and greener environments. Pay:
$23.91 - $28.79 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
