Our goal is to provide science based tree industry best management practices. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Arborist tree planting apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to tree planting, such as best management practices on planting trees. The ideal candidate will have experience in the arboriculture & landscaping industry and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver license is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional tree care services, including pruning, trimming, fertilizing, and diagnosing diseases and pests. The Arborist tree planting apprentice will also be expected to have a strong understanding of tree biology and the ability to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate solutions. Applicant must be a team player, follow instructions, and be detail oriented. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about trees and the environment.

Responsibilities:

Plant, prune, and remove trees and shrubs. Inspect trees for signs of structural defects, disease, pest or damage. Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform tree maintenance and removal operations. Provide advice on tree care and maintenance. Identify tree species and diagnose problems with trees. Maintain records of work performed. Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials. Operate a variety of landscaping equipment such as leaf blower, and chainsaws. Transport materials to job sites. Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment. Follow safety guidelines when using tools and equipment. Load and unload materials from trucks. Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 60lbs. Provide labor/assistance with all aspects of our tree planting needs.
