Responsibilities Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks. Operate bucket trucks and other equipment to access difficult-to-reach areas efficiently and securely. Implement arborist rigging techniques for controlled tree dismantling or limb removal to prevent property damage or injury. Conduct tree removal operations with precision, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed throughout each project. Perform plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and improve tree structure and aesthetics. Use chainsaws and other hand tools responsibly for cutting branches, trunks, or debris during maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and safety inspections. Skills Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and planning tree maintenance routes. Experience operating bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks. Strong knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for complex tree work. Skilled in tree removal, pruning, trimming, and general tree care practices. Familiarity with chainsaw operation and safety procedures. Understanding of safety protocol adherence to ensure a secure work environment at all times. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), landscape maintenance, and lawn care.
