Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Bucket Operator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our outdoor landscapes through skilled tree care, pruning, and landscaping operations. Using specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, you will safely perform tree trimming, removal, and plant care tasks while adhering to strict safety protocols. Your expertise in arborist rigging techniques and horticulture will ensure the health and safety of trees and plants across various outdoor environments. Duties Operate bucket trucks safely to access high branches for pruning, trimming, or removal of trees and shrubs Perform tree removal using rigging techniques, chainsaws, and other arborist tools while ensuring safety standards are met Conduct plant pruning care and tree trimming to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics Follow all safety protocols during equipment operation and outdoor work to prevent accidents or injuries Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree care projects when applicable Support arborist rigging techniques for complex tree removals or pruning jobs requiring specialized skills Maintain equipment including bucket trucks and chainsaws, ensuring they are in optimal working condition Perform roadside prunning and hazardous tree removals in accordance with the

ANSI A300

standards for VDOT Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or tree care Demonstrated proficiency in bucket operation and arborist rigging techniques Knowledge of tree removal, pruning, and plant care practices aligned with industry standards Familiarity with GIS technology for landscape planning is a plus Ability to operate chainsaws safely and effectively in various outdoor conditions Strong understanding of safety protocols related to equipment use and working at heights Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) preferred but not required Excellent physical stamina for outdoor tasks including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to cultivating healthy landscapes!
