About Rain Shadow Consulting LLC Based on Orcas Island, Washington, Rain Shadow Consulting is a dynamic and growing company that has been providing professional, high-quality tree care, forestry, consulting, and ecological restoration services in San Juan County since 2005. We work with a diverse range of clients from individual homeowners to our regional utility company to non-profit organizations managing large preserves for conservation and rare species restoration. Our sister company, Orcas Biomass, produces and sells quality lumber and mulch products from recycled woody material. ABOUT RAIN SHADOW CONSULTING
Based on Orcas Island, Washington, Rain Shadow has been providing professional and high-quality tree care, forestry, consulting, and ecological restoration services in San Juan County since 2005. We work with a diverse range of clients from individual homeowners to our regional utility company to non-profit organizations managing large preserves for conservation and rare species restoration. Our sister company, Orcas Biomass, produces and sells quality lumber and mulch products from recycled woody material.
QUALIFICATIONS 2-4
years tree care/arboriculture or landscaping experience required Previous tree service work, tree thinning/fuels reduction, utility tree trimming experience highly desired Valid driver's license and experience driving/backing trailers Must enjoy working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions A positive attitude, strong work ethic, safety consciousness, environmental ethic, ability to be a team player, communication skills (verbal and digital), and the desire and ability to learn new skills are most important! This job may demand long hours and trips to outer islands. Our crews work primarily 4-day work weeks
PAY AND BENEFITS
$29-33+/hour DOE Paid vacation, health/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k with 6% company match, sick leave, paid training, and paid travel Opportunities to attend company-sponsored training and pursue ISA Certified Arborist and/or other certifications Temporary housing available on Orcas Island $1000 sign-on bonus ($250 at sign-on, $750 after 12 months) Relocation expense reimbursement available This opportunity is based on San Juan Island, Orcas Island placement may be available for the right candidate. Salary $29 - $33 per hour
