10 Hours/Week | Mostly Remote | $28.46-$29.75/Hour Looking for a flexible opportunity to put your conservation and environmental experience to work in a small community? The Town of Berlin is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Conservation Agent to support the Town's Conservation Commission. This is a mostly remote, 10-hour-per-week position , offering flexibility while providing important technical and professional support to the Town. Responsibilities include conducting field visits and site inspections, reviewing projects for compliance with wetlands, stormwater management, and erosion control requirements, preparing Orders of Conditions and other Commission documents, and providing technical findings and recommendations. The Conservation Agent will also attend in-person evening Conservation Commission meetings and site visits as needed and work with residents, applicants, consultants, and Town officials on conservation-related matters. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and related regulations, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Municipal conservation, environmental, wetlands, or related experience is preferred.
Salary:
