Year-round, with the majority of programming taking place March through November About the Position Camp Y-Koda is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Environmental Educator to lead hands-on environmental education programs for families, adults, and school-aged students. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, connecting people with nature, and helping others develop an appreciation for Wisconsin's natural environment. Programs will take place at Camp Y-Koda, Sheboygan Marsh, and Maywood Environmental Park , with the busiest programming season occurring from March through November. Responsibilities Lead engaging environmental education programs for youth, families, adults, and school groups. Teach participants about Wisconsin's natural history, wildlife, ecosystems, and environmental resources. Use hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and interpretation techniques to create meaningful learning experiences. Work with participants of a variety of ages and backgrounds. Assist with the preparation, transportation, setup, and cleanup of program materials and equipment. Help create a welcoming, safe, and positive outdoor learning environment. Utilize email, Google Workspace, and social media as needed for program communication and promotion. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Natural Sciences, Environmental Education, or a related field preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older . Experience using email, Google Workspace, and social media. Enjoy working with youth of all ages, families, and community members. Knowledge of Wisconsin's environmental resources and natural history. Strong interpretation and/or naturalist skills. Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to push, pull, lift, and drag equipment weighing up to 50 pounds , including canoes, rowboats, kayaks, and equipment bins.
