Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cultivator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture, horticulture, and outdoor work, with the ability to support plant growth and maintain healthy landscapes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on sustainable cultivation practices and plant care. The position involves hands-on work in various settings, including greenhouses, gardens, and outdoor fields, contributing to the success of our cultivation projects. Duties Assist with planting, watering, and maintaining crops using irrigation systems and hand tools Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases through plant identification skills Perform gardening tasks such as pruning, weeding, and soil preparation Operate basic mechanical equipment related to farming and landscaping activities Support greenhouse operations by managing plant growth conditions and ensuring optimal environment Conduct heavy lifting of plants, soil bags, or equipment as needed for planting or maintenance tasks Apply knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, and farming techniques to ensure healthy growth Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency Assist with land preparation for new planting projects by using gardening tools and mechanical knowledge Experience Experience with
AK METRC.
Knowledge of AMCO regulations for the state of Alaska. Prior experience in horticulture, gardening, or farming is highly desirable Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse management, or landscaping is a plus Hands-on experience with hand tools, mechanical equipment, and plant identification enhances performance in this role Knowledge of agriculture practices including crop cultivation, soil management, and plant care is preferred Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards Basic math skills for measuring soil amendments or calculating planting layouts are beneficial Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and long hours of outdoor activity is required This position provides an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about cultivating plants and working outdoors. From $20.00 per hour
