Operational What You'll Do:
Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel safely and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Drive a commercial motor vehicle which requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License. Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight areas. Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites. Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips. Submit record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements. Other duties as assigned, light maintenance, washing trucks, snow removal, and other terminal/warehouse tasks.
Qualifications Education & Credentials:
High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience operating truck-pup or doubles. Class A CDL with the following endorsements: X (Tanker and Hazmat) and Doubles or Triples. Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Must have a current medical card. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card. Must possess Longer Combination Vehicle Certificate (LCV) or be able to obtain it within the introductory period. Nice to

Experience delivering fuel. Experience driving in winter conditions. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook and Word) and able to use tablets for (ELD, maintenance, and hours of service tracking)
Work Schedule:
Point of Hire is Palmer, Alaska. Employees that reside outside of Palmer are responsible for all costs associated for getting to Palmer. The work schedule is flexible, dependent upon operational requirements and is to be mutually agreed upon between the company and the employee. The work week will commence on the first day of a scheduled work assignment. Overtime pay will be paid for any hours worked over 8 hours in any one given day or 40 hours in any given week.
Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer services skills. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate and/or maintain machinery, tools and equipment. Ability to lift and maneuver 50 plus pounds.
Working Conditions:
Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. What We Offer?
