Position Summary Greenscapes Landcare Inc. is seeking an experienced Landscape Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial landscape irrigation systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and knowledgeable in irrigation systems, controllers, valves, wiring, and water-management practices. The Irrigation Technician will work independently and as part of a team to ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently and effectively while maintaining professional relationships with customers and coworkers. Essential Duties & Responsibilitie s Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial landscape irrigation systems. Diagnose irrigation system deficiencies and identify the source of mechanical, electrical, and operational problems. Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize water distribution, maximize soil penetration, and minimize runoff. Install and repair irrigation pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, wiring, and related components according to plans and specifications. Troubleshoot electrical issues, including damaged wiring, shorts, controllers, valve wiring, and electrical components. Demonstrate knowledge of conventional and 2-wire irrigation systems and central control systems. Conduct inspections and document system conditions, repairs, upgrades, meter readings, and irrigation schedules. Monitor and test new irrigation installations, including start-ups, system operation, pipe and valve placement, and overall performance. Perform system winterization and seasonal adjustments as required. Identify drainage deficiencies and problem soils and recommend appropriate irrigation solutions. Apply effective water-management practices, including ET-based scheduling and soil-probe testing. Plan and perform irrigation system upgrades and improvements based on site conditions and client needs. Perform trenching for irrigation lines according to plans. Properly install and connect irrigation wiring. Perform soldering of copper piping and solvent welding of PVC pipe. Install sprinkler heads and other irrigation components according to plans and specifications. Properly backfill and compact trenches after installation. Maintain accurate records and reports for assigned properties. Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and other personnel. Complete assigned work within established timeframes and quality standards. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of irrigation experience preferred. Previous experience with commercial landscape irrigation systems preferred. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and irrigation system issues. Working knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, wiring, sprinkler systems, and piping. Ability to read and follow irrigation plans and specifications. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVD driving record. Must pass required drug screening. Must be eligible to complete the company's required employment verification process (E-Verify). Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work outdoors year-round in Arizona weather conditions. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and company safety procedures. Work Environment This position requires working outdoors year-round and may involve exposure to heat, sun, dust, uneven terrain, irrigation equipment, and other typical landscaping conditions. The technician must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair.

Pay:

$26.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
