This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills nursery plant management while contributing to our mission of cultivating lush, healthy plants. Duties Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, and trimming a variety of garden and nursery plants to promote healthy growth. Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and conserve water resources effectively. Monitor plant health by identifying pests and diseases; implement integrated pest management strategies to protect crops. Operate hand tools and heavy equipment safely for tasks such as soil preparation, planting, and landscape maintenance. Requirements Proven experience in horticulture or gardening with a strong understanding of plant identification and crop production techniques. Knowledge of irrigation systems, agricultural environmental control systems, and greenhouse cultivation practices. Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with plant pest control methods and integrated pest management practices. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to irrigation management, and record keeping. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for planting, soil preparation, and landscape maintenance. Excellent teamwork skills with experience managing horticultural teams or working collaboratively on garden projects.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
