Mostly PM shifts available from 3-6pm. We are a small upscale boutique boarding facility of 11 stalls with runs and 5 turnouts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for equine care and the ability and experience to handle working solo. As a Stable Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being of our equines and ensuring that the stable is clean and organized. It is imperative this candidate have equine experience; time management, critical thinking, confidence and organizational skills; a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. The candidate must be physically fit and able to meet the physical demands of this job. Able to work outdoors and in cold winter & hot summer temps. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, turnout, blanketing and exercising as needed. Maintain cleanliness of stables by mucking out indoor stalls/runs( AM shifts only) , mucking paddocks, cleaning water buckets, and ensuring bedding is fresh. Monitor animal health and report any concerns to supervisors promptly. Perform basic reading and math calculations for feeding grain, weighing hay and inventory management. Use stable apps for barn communication and care of horses. Smart phone required. Qualifications Previous experience in equine care is required, preferably as a stable hand and experience mucking. Ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Willingness and good health to work outside in various weather conditions and adapt to changing tasks as needed. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and trainability are essential for success in this role. Good time management skills. Good health ad reliability. Reliable transportation an
