This is a relaxed, friendly private facility—not a show barn. Our boarders are respectful, easygoing people who ride for pleasure and don't take themselves too seriously. The job This is a hands-on, outdoor position.

The normal daily routine includes:

6:00 AM feeding Turning horses out Mucking and resetting stalls Bringing horses back in Cleaning and scrubbing water buckets Raking up hay and keeping areas around stalls tidy Blowing/sweeping the barn aisle and keeping the barn orderly General farm and property maintenance Noticing and taking care of small things that need attention We are looking for someone who finishes the job, not someone who simply checks off the main chore. For example, when a stall is mucked, the stall mats should be put back into place if they have shifted. If hay has accumulated outside the stall, it should be raked up. If the aisle is dirty, it should be cleaned. We value someone who sees these things and takes care of them without needing to be reminded. Work ethic, reliability, common sense, and attention to detail and previous horse barn experience is important. If you are someone who enjoys being outdoors, likes physical work, stays busy, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly environment, you may be a great fit. If you prefer an indoor job or need to be closely supervised to stay on task, this position will probably not be a good fit. Schedule & living arrangement Live-in position, 6 days per week Room and board provided, with utilities included $600/week salary You may bring your own RV/camper and live on site, or shared staff accommodation is available Well-behaved dogs are welcome Position is for one individual; no couples unless you have your own accommodation set up.
