Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Feedlot Assistant and become an integral part of our agricultural operations! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, supporting livestock management, equipment maintenance, and facilities management. Duties Assist with livestock handling, feeding, watering, and general animal husbandry to ensure healthy and safe animals. Operate farm machinery such as tractors, skidsteers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment and farm infrastructure using hand tools, power tools, welding, and mechanical knowledge. Ensure safety standards are maintained during all production activities by adhering to safety protocols and proper animal handling techniques. Assist other team members in daily tasks to promote efficient workflow and teamwork. Conduct livestock management tasks including feeding schedules, health checks, and record keeping to support animal welfare. Requirements Prior experience in farm work, ranching, or agricultural environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery such as tractors, skidsteers, or farm equipment safely. Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and livestock management techniques. Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, maintenance, welding or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations). Strong outdoor work ethic with the physical ability for manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the day. Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements or feed rations. Experience with hand tools, power tools, horticulture or greenhouse operations is a plus. Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
