Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems across various landscapes. Your expertise will ensure efficient water management, healthy lawns, and vibrant landscapes for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on new irrigation system installation projects, perform routine irrigation maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical diagnostics skills, and experience with irrigation equipment and system troubleshooting. Your hands-on approach and dedication will help us deliver top-quality irrigation solutions that promote sustainable landscaping practices. Responsibilities Install new irrigation systems, including piping, controllers, valves, sprinklers, and related equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality Perform routine maintenance on existing irrigation systems to optimize performance and prevent breakdowns Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and mechanical skills to identify faults quickly Repair irrigation equipment and system components efficiently while minimizing downtime Conduct excavation work for system installation or repair projects using hand tools and power tools safely and accurately Manage automated irrigation control systems to ensure proper scheduling and water distribution Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into landscape designs while considering soil science principles for optimal watering efficiency Experience Proven experience working with irrigation management, system troubleshooting, and repair projects in a commercial or residential setting Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation equipment, electrical diagnostics, and system installation techniques Hands-on experience with excavation tools, hand tools, and power tools used in irrigation projects Knowledge of soil science as it pertains to watering needs and landscape health Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and their programming capabilities Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Prior involvement in new irrigation system installation projects from start to finish is highly desirable
