Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in irrigation systems, lawn care, and landscape maintenance. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The Irrigation Technician will work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide effective solutions for their irrigation requirements. Duties Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and underground systems. Conduct regular inspections and repairs on existing irrigation systems to ensure proper functionality. Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks. Operate excavators and other machinery as needed for trenching and system installation. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall lawn care plans. Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing irrigation setups based on horticultural best practices. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and service schedules. Educate clients on proper irrigation practices and system management. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation systems preferred. Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment. Basic understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and water management. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments. Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
