The Opportunity We are seeking a mature, detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to handle the analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex irrigation systems. This isnt just a "digging" jobwe need a technician who understands voltage, wire location, and system programming to ensure our clients' landscapes thrive. What Youll Do (Primary Duties)
System Diagnostics:
Use multi-meters to check voltage and wire locators to find underground issues.
Advanced Repairs:
Troubleshoot and repair multi-wire and two-wire systems, including changing and programming decoders.
Smart Programming:
Activate, deactivate, and program all types of irrigation clocks based on seasonal and landscape needs.
Maintenance & Records:
Maintain accurate site as-builts (valve locations, zones, times) and complete all paperwork precisely.
Installation & Excavation:
Layout and install new systems, cut/glue pipe, and adjust all head types. Hand-excavated wires and pipes as needed for repairs.
Inventory Management:
Keep your truck properly stocked and purchase parts required for specific repairs.
What Were Looking For Technical Expertise:
Strong background in mainline repair and thorough knowledge of two-wire systems.
Safe Driving:
Valid Drivers License with a clean record (no points/accidents for 3 years).
Certifications:
BMP Certification is required.
Communication:
Strong organizational skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs. frequently, and handle routine hand-excavation.
