The worker will perform job duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may vary depending on crop ripening and weather conditions. Duties include preparing fields for planting by digging, planting, weeding, and other related activities. Workers will weed, cultivate, and harvest pickling cucumbers, as well as pack and load harvested products. Workers will operate agricultural equipment such as tractors, planters, cultivators, and harvesters to assist with field preparation, planting, cultivation, and harvesting. Workers will be responsible for the basic maintenance of agricultural equipment, including checking fluid levels, inspecting and replacing parts, performing minor repairs, and cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and safe operation. Hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, shears, and knives will also be used as necessary. Workers must have a minimum of three (3) months of verifiable experience in agricultural equipment operation and maintenance.
