A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

We are elevating our game with a major renovation, including all-new TifEagle greens, Bimini Bermuda fairways, redesigned bunkers, new bulkheads, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system.Summary:
Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for leadership. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for providing incredible guest service and member experiences by assisting with one of the most important aspects of the golf course — the irrigation system.Schedule:
Flexible schedule required, with availability to occasionally work weekends and holidays as needed. Works extended hours during golf and holiday seasons. Prepares weekly schedules for irrigation repair, preventive maintenance, and watering cycles. Monitors inventory and use of all irrigation equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety training. Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget for irrigation. Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term strategies to improve water management. Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Must possess basic computer skills, including Word and Excel. Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business. Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail. Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with the Rainbird IC System recommended. Knowledge of budgeting and expense management. 1-3 years of turfgrass experience required.Physical Requirements:
Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.Environment/Noise:
Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards. Noise level is typically moderate to loud. Healthcare Benefits- Medical (if determined by the ACA measurement) Retirement Benefits
